T510 Touchpad Issue

Hey Folks - need some help with a T510.
Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the ultranav drivers for WinXP - the touchpad on the laptop is being detected as a generic PS/2 mouse. This prevents ultranav from being installed correctly. My end user simply wants to modify the sensitivity of the touchpad and is unable to do so without Ultranav.
I have disabled/renabled the device, uninstalled from device manager and reinstalled, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to end up reimaging this machine for what seems to be such a simple problem.
