Main board exchange T60

Main board exchange T60 Hallo Forum, Hello Forum,

I'm looking for links or addresses where you can get IBM spare parts (motherboards).
Want to thank my four year old T60 replace the board.

Is it perhaps possible to get into the T60 more power? So there is possibly a suitable board to fit a faster CPU?

I have here read that the Intel Core 2 Duo with an Intel Core Duo can be replaced. . With the appropriate Board.

Hi and welcome (this should be moved to T6x forum...)

In theory, some boards for T60 may not support Core 2 Duo CPU, but I have never seen one. I think any board you find will support Core 2 Duo, if you have a new BIOS.

Fastest CPU you can have is T7600 (also T7400 and T7200 are only a bit slower, but can be much cheaper).

Other Core 2 Duos (T7300/7500/7700/7800) and T8xxx/T9xxx series will not work in a T60, they are different socket.
