2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?

I've got a T510 (4313-29U). Can someone please confirm if the Wifi antenna is 2.4Ghz and/or 5Ghz?

I won't claim to know much about the 802.11 specs, or how it works, or what adapter your T510 has in it. But, as I understand things, the 802.11n spec operates on multiple channels around 2.4GHz spaced 5MHz apart. Maybe someone else can be more specific.

It has the 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 32bit.
I've tried everything to get this to connect to a wireless N router. The Thinkpad does not even see the SSID for any 802.11N router that I've tried. (Linksys, Netgear and D-Link so far)
I have a Linksys WRT610N which is a dual band (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) router. The Thinkpad will connect to the 2.4Ghz SSID but at only 802.11g speeds (up to 54Mbps). I would like it to connect to the 5Ghz SSID so I can get 802.11n speeds (up to 330Mbps), but it won't connect. Hence my original question of does the Thinkpad have a 5Ghz Wifi antenna.
If not, is there a way to get the Thinkpad to connect to the router via 802.11n on the 2.4Ghz antenna?
Forgot to mention. I have the router set in mixed mode. When I set my router so that it only connects at 802.11n, the Thinkpad cannot connect.

I believe 300mbps is only possible if you have both sides to allow fat channels.
Have you checked the wifi card's properties? My Intel 5300 gives a bunch of items in the properties page for Device Manager.

Regardless, it should be able to connect to an N-capable router and attain 300mbps speeds even in 2.4GHz. However, you'd have to enable fat channel on the router and in the wireless card properties.
My 5300 can connect at 300mbps to my router successfully. I don't see why the stock adapter couldn't.

I have several ThinkPads with Intel 802.11n adapters and they all connect to a Linksys WRT600N using 802.11 on the 5GHz band WiFi without any problems, so it is very highly unlikely that your problem has anything much to do with the antennas in your ThinkPad.
I have no experience with the card you have, so can't offer any other advice.
