Wavy video issue T510 /w discrete gfx & HD+

I just purchased a new T510 last week, and amazingly it shipped/arrive in about 3 days. Anyway, it's working fine for the most part. However, on four separate instances, the graphics has gone wavy, sort of jittery like there's a loose connection or something. This happened once on a reboot, twice on the screen coming out of a power saving blank, and once setting the screen resolution to 1920x1080 in Starcraft II (just as a test). Changing screen resolutions or sleeping/resuming resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I can't repeat the problem consistently. I've tried having it power blank the screen every minute, but I just can't seem to force the issue.

I have the HD+ screen, and the discrete NVidia 3100M. I updated the graphics driver via NVidia's site, but it's happened once since.

Has anyone seen an issue like this?

Yes, it's a well-documented issue, and has a solution.

Right, so I guess I should have mentioned this, but it's been all on AC, not on battery /w power saving options. If I follow the steps listed as a workaround, AC power options are already set to "Max Performance", not "Balanced" (additionally, the power settings show Intel Graphics Power Savings, not nVidia for whatever reason). There was also a driver that supposedly fixed it according to the thread, but my driver is later than the one listed.

In any event, I will look further into power settings going forward. In the meantime, I had to disable Optimus for other reasons (Win Phone 7 emulator won't run) and switched to just the nVidia adapter enabled in BIOS. Need to see if the problem comes back after this.

Oh it's an Optimus model. Then any issues won't be well documented :P .
The introduction of Optimus probably presents a whole new bag of kinks to iron out.
