What's the advantage of the nvidia video card for the 510 if you're not a gamer?

Not much really. In some ways it's a penalty because they cost more and offer less battery life. There are some other applications which can make use of the extra GPU oomph like Photoshop, but you've got to be doing more higher end stuff to make use of it.
