T410 doesn't know it's plugged into AC after BIOS flash
T410 doesn't know it's plugged into AC after BIOS flash
Just flashed my T410 to the latest BIOS version (1.34 I think), but now the laptop does not recognize when it's plugged into the AC. When I plug the laptop in to the AC, there is no "beep" that usually comes on that tells me that the battery is charging, the green battery icon does not light up on the outside, and Windows thinks I'm always running off of the battery. The battery still charges at the normal rate, however (Hopefully the battery is not being OVERCHARGED but I think the battery's circuitry prevents this)
Obviously this is the result of a bad BIOS flash, the question I have for you guys is how to reflash my BIOS. Lenovo's BIOS utility does not allow me to flash it if I'm not plugged into the AC, and since the laptop is unable to realize that it is in fact plugged in, I am unable to flash the BIOS!
tl;dr Anyone have any ideas on how to circumvent these safety features and reflash my BIOS? Thanks.

Re: T410 doesn't know it's plugged into AC after BIOS flash
Go into BIOS and load setup defaults (F9) , then F10 to save, exit, and reboot.

Tried Setup Defaults, but no dice. Thinkpad still doesn't know it's on AC.

Disconnect AC, pull the battery, and disconnect the CMOS battery. Let it sit for a few hours and hook everything back up. For CMOS (backup) battery removal look in the maintenance manual page 101. You'll need to remove the keyboard and a DIMM cover.

Re: T410 doesn't know it's plugged into AC after BIOS flash
If the battery light doesn't come on when it is plugged in and turned of, your problem has nothing to do with the BIOS. The BIOS is onle relevant when the machine is running. That is when it is loaded into memory
