Is lower resolution screen compatible?

Hi I have T510 with fhd screen. I would like to swap it with lower resolution screen from screencountry.com or ebay. Could somebody tell me if such a swap is possible and is it a straight swap or will I have to change cable/inverter or some other parts?
(Original screen is broken)

Thanks!

Why not just bump the DPI up higher? It works quite well in Vista and W7, and Linux too. It doesn't cost anything nor will it void your warranty.

Without knowing anything about the other screen, it's kind of hard to say. If they say it'll fit, it probably will, but third party screens are of lesser quality in my experience.

Good idea!
The website says that those are exact replacement screens, whatever that means. I'm doing a lot of graphic work so I was thinking about getting a glossy screen as well, although I know that this won't be popular on thinkpad forum ;) My friend had a T60 with glossy screen (ebay) and the colors looked much better then on my old matte T60.
I'm considering screen from here: http://www.screencountry.com/index.php? ... novo&size=
I think I might actually choose second to the last option, fhd, glossy.
Thanks again!
