Utilities/alternate means of toggling switchable graphics?

I'm currently experimenting with alternate shells on my Win7 T400 with switchable graphics for a change of scenery and an attempt to bring a bit more zip and flexibility to my computing experience. I'm taking a look at the old (but somehow still rather functional) bblean and the slightly-more-modern Emerge Desktop, both of which seem like they could be whipped into the shape I want with a little effort. Unfortunately, both of them have one major problem: they do away with the taskbar. They both have means of replicating the Start Menu and system tray, but what gets lost in the change is the Lenovo Power Manager applet, which to my knowledge is the only way to switch between the integrated and discrete graphics on the system.

Are there any alternatives to going through the Power Manager taskbar applet for switching graphics modes? I haven't managed to find an option to do so in the actual PM application. Is there some command line switch one can pass the Power Manager program (in e.g. a batch file) that makes the switch? Any utilities that either operate on their own or reside in the system tray?
