HDD noise: Ultrabay vs. Primary

How big is the noise difference for a given (7200 rpm hopefully) hdd between the primary slot compared to the ultrabay? I have an unopened WD6400BEVT that I'm now reconsidering.

I don't see why there would be any noise difference. The drive is in the same area of the machine behind a plastic cover.
