Optimus on T410s + Opera 11 + Fan noise

Hi,
I have three (honestly minor) issues, but still, just out of curiosity asking:
1. Whenever I play a youtube 1080p file in IE Optimus kicks in and activates the Nvidia GPU. When I try to play the same file in Opera 11, nothing happens. It sticks to the onboard intel GPU.
2. When I unplug the power adaptor the screen flickers. Same happens when I plug the power cord in. Is this normal behavior?
3. With AC unplugged, the laptop is inaudible to me. However, when pluggged in, fan noise is low, but constant and noticeable in a quiet environment. I do the same office stuff, so there shouldn't be higher temps (and really there aren't)l, How can I prevent this from happening?
I tried every option in TP power manager, and it does stay silent when switched to "reduce fan noise" mode. In that case however, turbo boost is deactivated which is too much of a trade off to me.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Miscellaneous
