Help needed with T400 wireless networking

#1 Post by vinoloco » Tue Jan 18, 2011 4:44 pm

Hello all,

I'm struggling a bit with the wireless network on my T400 while running Windows Vista. What I'm trying to do is setup a wireless connection between my laptop and my iPhone using the "Mywi" application which then allows connection to the 3G network. Everything on the iPhone side of things works fine since I can connect other WiFi devices to it and I can even connect my T400 to it with a live CD of Ubuntu so I know the hardware is capable but for some reason I cannot connect with Windows. The network adapter can see the phone access point but just won't connect. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

thanks in advance for any help!

Giday Vin*...
FYI..make sure the WEP CODE etc = is in FIRST SLOT (KEY POSITION #1) as all APPLE Products only looks for the FIRST LOCATION KEY............AND ,,,,, AFAIK...... but not sure 'thering'is allowed with ATT's version of iPhone4......unless you have the 'legally unlocked version' of iPhone4 that is avalible ElseWhere in the world!

Hope this helps...
Cheers
