blue screens since windows update

I downloaded several MS patches last week. Since then, I'm having intermittent blue screens coming out of sleep mode.
This thing has been intermittent with sleep mode for a while. Sometimes, it doesn't seem to notice that the lid is closed, sometimes it decides to go into sleep mode only when I reopen the lid.
But the blue screens are new.
Any suggestions? Anyone else having this problem?

Does the problem go away if you uninstall the updates?
