I just upgraded to Win 7 64, and I am attempting to go to 8GB of ram. I currently have 2 sticks of Mushkin 7-7-7-20 PC3 8500 totaling 4GB... ever since installing it I occasionally get stuck on reboot (get error beeps) and have to pull the power to restart.

When I install one or both of my new RAM chips, I get only error beeps: 1 beep, 3 beeps, 3 beeps, 1 beep.

WINTEC 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model 3AMD31333N-8G2K-R

Anyone else have RAM compatibility issues with the T400?

EDIT: I have already installed the latest BIOS update

Hmmm...

Just looked at Crucial's website, the fastest they list for T400 is 10600... maybe that's it?

Contact Newegg and see if they can help you...I have 8gb of Talent Memory working in my X200 with no problems. The specifications match the original memory installed by Lenovo.
