It's not much, but looks identical to T410:

Sigh the 16:9 screen makes me cringe. The internal structure looks to be more of a solid one-piece rollcage compared to the T400/T410.

Same here. Dell's newly announced Business laptops are also all 16:9, including the 14-inch models (which were 16:10 in the previous generation). So I think only the Apple laptops and a few 17.0" PC laptops will continue to be 16:10. The only 16:9 laptops that might get me excited would be a 15.6" 2048x1152 and an 18.4" 2560x1440, but obviously these don't exist, yet. For current 16:9 laptops, the Sony Z Series with 13" 1600x900 is probably the only somewhat tempting machine although it's way beyond my budget. So, I will just keep using "obsolete" 4:3 and 16:10 laptops.

EDIT:
This thread was just posted: http://forums.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=94208 . 12.5" 1600x900, even better than the Sony Z Series!

Definitely disappointed with 16:9 screen for T420.

I hope Lenovo/Thinkpad would compensate for this with USB 3.0 ports on T420 !

(All leaks so far mentioned T420s [think version] to have USB 3.0 port(s), but so far no mention of USB3 for T420 or T520).

But, pianowizard, shouldn't the fact that the with 16:9 you can get 1600x900, whereas the previous generation were capped at 1440x900 at least make you happy in terms of screen space?

I was happy with 1440x900 on 12.1" but not larger screens. I couldn't care less about Lenovo's and Dell's 14.1" 1440x900 laptops.

1600x900 is great for 12.5", fairly good for 13.1", barely acceptable for 14.0", but unacceptable for bigger panels. The rumored X220s with 12.5" 1600x900 would be the first Thinkpad I have been excited about in a very long time.
