SSD in 2nd hdd caddy? (T510)

Hey guys, I want to buy an ssd drive and put it in the 2nd hdd caddy and boot system from it. My question is how will it affect overall performance of new drive? Are the drives in the 2nd hdd caddies able achieve same performance as primary hdd/ssd's?

performance between the two locations will be identical in your system.   the ultrabay adapter in the T500/T510 uses a native SATA 3Gbps connection.

when installing your OS, install the drive in the main bay.   once everything is installed you can move it to the ultrabay adapter and boot from it using the F12 menu.
