Full screen flash not working?? (youtube, vimeo, etc...)

My thinkpad T410 is finally here... after installing SSD, windows 7 pro x64, all the updates (msft and lenovo), chrome, flash, reader, etc... the usual. office 2010, blah, blah...

anyway, full screen video doesn't work with youtube, fox or cnn video, vimeo, etc.. plays fine but as soon as you click the box for full screen, all I get is black. sound works, but no picture.



Please help. I have a NEW T410, nvidia OPTIMUS 512mb video, intel HD graphics, etc... 8GB 1333 RAM, c300 SSD, windows pro 7 x64. I have the latest versions of flash installed.

as a side note, I LOVE THIS COMPUTER (other than the flash full screen issue. glad I didn't get a macbook pro...

You're running the 10.2 stable Flash Player, right? It could be some incompatibility with the Optimus drivers.
The video on mine goes freezeframe sometimes when going fullscreen, but not very often.

Does it happen in IE?

You can always try older Flash versions. (just remember to uninstall flash before installing any other version) Filehippo.com has them for both IE and NON-IE. As Colonel O'Neill mentions, I too think something is incompatible.

thanks for the info... i'll give it a shot, but over the last day or so, flash video (full screen) has been a hit or miss. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Even with this issue, I wouldn't trade my laptop for anything else.

coming from the x100e, the keyboard on the T410 is SO MUCH BETTER!!!! Now I understand why people don't want Lenovo to change it.

Looks like your fingers aren't familiar with ie. T30

Maybe disabling hardware acceleration on Flash is a viable workaround?

Yeah, I tend to fumble keystrokes on the X100e a lot compared to my T400. The lack of depth is probably why.
