Dear Community,

I remembered there was a registry fix posted on lenovo website to resolve inconsistent when increment / decrement brightness control, but I could not find it anymore.

when decrement from 15 (max), it goes like: 15-14-13-12-11-10-9-8-6-3-0
when incrementing from 0(min), it goes like: 0-4-7-10-11-12-13-14-15
Tried reinstalling hkey driver as well as power manager but none works.

Does anybody knows the solution for this problem?

Thanks

My two year old counts like that... 1, 2, 5! My T410s does the same.

Try updating/reinstalling your graphics driver too. I've had situations where the hotkey wouldn't work, and a graphics card driver reinstall fixed it rather than a hotkey package reinstall.

Thanks for your help guys,

But after reinstalling the graphic driver, the problem still persist.

I remember Lenovo posted a .reg fix right under graphic driver about a year ago but it's not there anymore.

Any other suggestion?

I saw this post on Lenovo forum:
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-a ... m-p/385113

That guy seems to have the same problem. is it caused by new drivers??

Any idea?

I tried uninstall every single driver (and prevent windows driver auto install) , install all drivers from thinkvantage system update, but no avail.

Anyone know how to fix this problem please?

Curious... Hit Win+X to load the Mobility Center and see if the brightness slider works normally there.

WIN+X works normally (IE, it increments by 1 for every change). I actually has been using WIN+X to adjust brightness but sometimes, out of reflex, I pressed fn + home/end, and when that happens, I felt frustrated...
