Thinkpad dock : extension for longer laptops?

I have a T500 and just got a second Advanced Mini-Dock (2504-10U) for my office. But it's missing the little plastic extender part (at the bottom in the pic below).
Is it important? Looks like the thinkpad is not sitting at the right angle w/o it.
Any idea where I can get one?
I suppose I could slip a piece of cardboard under it...

I never saw such a piece in my life. It doesn't seem to be part of the mini-dock kit, and definitely isn't necessary. My T60 15" which is deeper than a T500 has been sitting on the mini-dock without any extenders and is happy about it.
