Docking Questions for T410

Out of curiosity, has anybody here purchased any of the docks or port replicators available for the T410? I've been thinking about dumping my current desktop and using a dock in conjunction with my existing T410 and 22in LCD as a "desktop" solution. Are there any notable drawbacks (like overheating) to going this route that one should know about before buying the dock?

I have done this two years ago: T60 with docking replaced a desktop computer. It works nice. I can now take my office with my, but at home everything is like it was before: Monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, ethernet.

i've used a similar set up with pretty much every larger thinkpad i've owned.
the only machine i ever worried about heat on the dock with was my a31p after i upgraded the cpu. this was with the advanced dock, which had the full-sized platform under the pc. i think it just insulated heat dispersion from the underside as once i removed that platform, i never had problems again.

For whatever reasons, most Thinkpads I've owned (T42, T60, X61, T410) tend to run a bit hotter when docked (Mini-dock / Ultrabase), but never to the point of overheating. Fan may run more frequently though, so expect more noise.
