T400 optical drive caddy compatible w/T410?

Hi there, I'm considering an upgrade from my T400 now that companies are offloading their T410s, and I was just wondering if I'll be able to continue to use the same caddy which has made life so pleasant these days, allowing me to have two hard drives in my laptop. I heard they moved the location of the release button, but haven't found any info on whether the units are compatibe.

No. The T410 caddies work in the T400 but T400 caddies don't work in the T410. I have no idea why this is true.

That's a shame, but the one I'm using only cost me 5 bucks on ebay so I suppose it's no big loss. Thanks.

If it is new, it might work. The diiference is electrical, not physical. I would expect that the aftermarket ones are all the same.
