CPU's and T410/510

I've got a question:

Has anyone ever dropped in a CPU faster than an i7-620M in their ThinkPad T410 or T510 (or W510, or maybe W701) and had it work?
I'm not sure if it would since I think someone tried this with a i5-580M in their dual-core-stock W510 machine and was unsuccessful, but, well, just wondering.
W520 (i7-2720M, Quadro 1000M), T41, 600E
Just say no to the ThinkBook Pro.
