New SSD... Do i have a problem?
New SSD... Do i have a problem?
Hi i have just ordered an intel X25-M 2G 120GB SSD.
After ordering the SSD I noticed that the SSDs on lenovos page is 2,5” 7mm high. But the one I have ordered I the standard 2,5” 9,5mm. Is there going to be any problems in replacing my standard HHD on my T410 with the 9,5 mm SDD. What info I can find, the standard HDD (250GB FHD) I also 9,5 mm high. Am I getting any problems installing the new SSD in my T410, with the rubber rails?
The 7mm intel I much more expensive.

Re: New SSD... Do i have a problem?
No
but for having the best perfs you need alignment which is a HELL (for a non-specialist)
Mine is not "aligned" but works fine even with XP
I'll buy Paragon Alignment Tool for that coz it's too hard (for me) using Diskpar & so ...

Re: New SSD... Do i have a problem?
There are a few alignment tools designed for AdvFormat platter drives, so make sure the one you run is the right one, else it cause additional performance degradation. WD and Seagate both offer free tools.
In case anyone's wondering, the button that says Téléchargement means download.
It also says that the download is only available for users with warranty or under a contract, which is weird, because it downloads fine.

Re: New SSD... Do i have a problem?
I'm really sorry
This soft is only working on HP PCs but it'll be offered by other PC brands !?
The soft is really effective improving the writing by 50% on a Corsair SSD.
After use, your SSD is much more responsive and looks like much lighter
Easy to use for those of us which are not very familiar with DOS and speedy (<10' for 3 partitions on a 60 GB SSD )
