I have an 'unknown' T400 LCD (the motherboard was bad). Can I test this in a T61 system? Both have the 14.1" 1440x900 widescreen.

BobA, I am 99% sure the answer is yes, the LCDs are compatible.

Assuming it's a CCFL panel, of course.

Thanks, Colonel. Well, my T400 is CCFL. Were all T61 systems CCFL?

Check out this post for 14.1" CCFL widescreen panel swappability info (basically, OK between any Z60t/Z61t/T61/R61/T400/R400) --> http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=89271

Check out this site/page for which models offered LED LCDs (T400/T500 were the first T-series to do so) --> http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/TFT_display

I wasn't able to test the T400 LCD in a T61 since the cables are different .. But that helps me for the future. But I'll remember that link for the future - Thanks.
