T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
Can anyone confirm/proof that the T420 has 6 Gbit/s SATA?

Re: T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
the current tabook at: http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf
lists some t420s models, all 3gb/s sata. the t520 and w520 also show 3gb/s. keep an eye on the book, though, as there aren't that models listed yet.

Re: T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
Thank you for the link sarbin.
Ok, page 58 > ThinkPad® T420 4178 (Optimus) - TopSeller
Chipset > Mobile Intel QM67 Express Chipset
Now Intel tells me this (http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/ ... erview.htm):
Serial ATA (SATA)* 6 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s
High-speed storage interface supporting up to 6 Gb/s transfer rate for improved data access. Provides up to six SATA ports at 3 Gb/s with up to two ports supporting 6 Gb/s transfer rates.
Now the question is, if the main disk is hooked to a 6 Gb/s port or not...?!
If not they should all be shot!

Re: T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
well... the 3gb/s could be a typo in the ebook, i guess.

Re: T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
Where in the ebook do you see this 3 Gb/s limitation exactly?
I can only see that the drives are 3 Gb/s.
Some: Solid State Drive (SSD) / SATA 3.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high
Some: Hard Disk Drive / SATA 3.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 9.5mm high, Active Protection System™
I don't care about the drives, I care about the system.

Re: T420 with 6 Gbit/s SATA?
only place i see 3gb/s is where you do.

good luck with your continuing search.
