Wxga vs wxga+ ... Thinkpad t410

#1 Post by coolhydro » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:41 pm

Hi all,

My laptop screen is broken. It had a default wxga display on it. I am planning to replace it myself because lenovo quoted me 750$. Will an aftermarket wxga+ screen work if i hooked it? or should i get the default wxga display?
Please help me.

Thanks,
Hydro..

Yes, it will work (as long as it's a Lenovo screen).

Actually, you'll probably like it better than the standard WXGA since you've got about 100 more pixels vertical resolution and 160 more pixels vertical.
You don't need to change any inverters since this is an LED backlit screen.

Happy hunting for one.

I just ordered my device and I may need to upgrade the screen. Keep us informed on how this turns out.
