Hello,

I'd like to purchase a Thinkpad T4xx for video and photo editing. Which of the models released so far has the best display and GPU? And why did Lenovo stop implementing switchable graphics in later T410 models? It seemed like such a useful technology.

thanks!

Early T410/T510's were discrete only. It was only later Optimus switchable graphics were introduced on the T410 and T510 models. The newest T420 and T520 are also Optimus capable.

My question is which is the fastest display adapter I can get on a T series Thinkpad?

NVS 4200M in the T420/T520. The T520 has the best display (excluding HD).

The Quadro 1000M or Quadro 2000M in the W520 would be significantly more powerful than anything in the T-series.
