Battery life: dual core i7-2620M vs. quad core i7-2720QM CPU

This was asked in another thread, as one of two questions, but was never answered
(for another reason, the thread was basically stopped).

Does anyone know the difference in battery life when running a dual core i7-2620M vs. quad core i7-2720QM CPU?

I don't expect it's anywhere near a factor of two, or even 25% higher consumption. Perhaps it's less than 25% lower
battery life with the quad core i7-2720QM CPU under the most demanding conditions, and far less otherwise?

Can the quad core be easily "throttled back" using power management settings when on battery?

I have the same question. Did you ever find an answer?
