T500, Windows 7 Pro, Startup Problems
T500, Windows 7 Pro, Startup Problems
Everytime my computer starts up I get a Windows configuartion message. I also get Windows updates each time i shut down. By mistake (hitting the yes button, instead of cancel) I used the Lenovo Recovery tool to recover my files after a meltdown (mine, not the compouters). After using the recovery stuff it disables Norton Ghost and Microsoft Security Essentials. I have a good Recovery Point from 4/24/11 but I don't know which files to use for Recover my Files in Ghost. What a mess and it was all my own doing. Any help will be appreciated. tt

Please post a link to an uploaded screenshot of the configuration message. Is it msconfig by any chance?
For what reason are Norton Ghost and MSE disabled? Are they throwing any errors? Try updating them both with Live Update and Windows Update respectively.
Do you mean you don't know which files to recover? Recover anything that you need. No reason to do anything else. If it was just a system restore that you did none of your personal files were deleted. The only things a system restore will affect is settings and installed programs.
