TVSU (System Update) out of date, not offering updates

Our office is now mostly Thinkpads. We have a T500, type 2081-CTO that System Update will not detect and offer new updates. I know that the TVSU database sometimes lags the available updates by little while, but in this case there were quite a few updates that had been posted; none were picked up as available by TVSU. OS is Win7 Pro x64

Lenovo support said "Uninstall and reinstall TVSU". This didn't make a difference.

I use a x61 tablet (7762-BE5) loaded with Win7 Ultimate x64, and I just noticed it has the same problem. TVSU only offered one update, but when I went down the drivers list for my machine type there were at least five (5) updates that I needed, some going back to Februrary 2011 (it is the end of April now). Uninstall TVSU and reinstall again made no difference.

Is anyone else having problems with System Update not being current, and are there any local fixes that can be done on the computer, or is it a defect on the back end servers and databases run by Lenovo?

Any help appreciated!

Cheers!

I heard they've been overhauling the whole system and streamlining it. Might explain it.
