I bought dead T400 and repair it (damaged fuse).
After it, TP is working, boot on os, but it's not woks touchpad or trackpoint.
In post, there is some activity on PS/2 data wires on toupad and tracpoint, bios see it (its shown disable optin only if its connected).
Second small problem is, on post, laptop wait for about 10 seconds on blank screen, then boot.
I think there is some bios/configuration flash part damage. I tried flash bios and EC controlled by uptade utility but no change.
I can flash it on programmer, but I havent full binary image.

Have you any idea what can i do witch it, or have anyone bios backup ?

thanks

Sorry for my bad english

I don't quite understand the Ultranav problem. The trackpoint and touchpad work in BIOS or not? The 10 second delay may be due to a boot device that is in the (startup) boot order in BIOS but it is not present.

There isnt this problem, it is configured properly, and delay is after boot sequnce starts.

Bios detect touchpad and trackpoint in the bios settings, enable/disable option is present only if is device connected.
I think there isnt a hardware problem, I measure data and clock link from touchpad to a EC controler, and there is some activity on data line during post (measured by osciloscope).

We are having a language problem. I still can't tell if the trackpad is enabled in BIOS or not?. Try booting up a live Linux CD. Is it still disabled in the OS?

Yes, it is enabled. It isnt sw problem. I tested it in windows, winPE and ubuntu.

Ok, so you have a hardware problem with the trackpad and trackpoint right? That sounds like a systemboad problem because they are (2) different devices. The touchpad is built into the palm rest, and the trackpoint is built into the keyboard....two different connections. Just as a test to make sure there is no interference between the two, disconnect the touchpad and boot the machine. Does the trackpoint now work? Do you have a dock? If so, you could try the reverse and use an external keyboard as a test.

Yes, but there isnt electrical problem. I think it is problem in configuration part in bios flash.
I need complete flash backup, bacause files from lenono isn't containt this part and cannot be flashed directly in flash memory. It can be used only via "lenovo" flasher, that left some blocks intact.

Is that something someone with a T400 can create for you? If yes, you might want to list the steps needed to do that in case someone is willing to do it. I do not have a T400, sorry.
