Worn Edges on Rubber Lid of T400 [PIC WARNING]

First, I apologize for the absolutely horrifying quality of the camera on my iPod Touch. My normal camera needs it's batteries charged or I would have used that, but please bear with me.
I think most T-series owners should know what I am talking about, but the edges of the rubber coating on the lid is slightly worn, and I am wondering what some of you have done about that. Here is that picture I was talking about.

I just leave it and don't worry about it - after a few run ins with zippers on various cases, the outer edge of my t61 screen looks like that. As long as it is not peeling off the top layer, I don't worry about it. I think there were a couple of threads on repairing them, but IIRC they just wear off again, so IMHO it is not worth it. (and I sort of like the used look - i.e. the shiny keyboard/palmrest, the corners of the lid, makes it seem like it has been through a lot and keeps on going

)

I suppose that is the easiest thing to do as it would be hard to get an exact match with a material like that. Could you direct me to these threads? I seem to remember one about repainting the whole lid with plasti-dip, but nothing comes to mind about the corners.

LOL, I would love to see that, but not on the lid of my T400!
