how hot and noisy your T420s?

i'm planning to buy T420s and wanted to ask existing owners how hot and noisy running you T420s
which configuration shall i take to have less noisy and heat?
i will definitely go with SSD, but what about processor and wifi cards etc...

please help to choose

It is very quiet. I wouldn't worry about SSD for noise though. If you want it to be more quiet then buy a model with a less powerful CPU, most of the noise from the machine is from the CPU/GPU fan.

i thought to take i5, what about wifi card any difference in heat between models or all the same?

I would be very surprised if WiFi generated any significant heat, CPU, GPU and harddrives are the things that are noise or hot. There might be quality differences on WiFis, but I don't which is best.

EXACTLY my worry
i had x60s long ago and moved to x61, was so hot and noisy could not work so moved back
now i have x301 and this is quite as it gets (i think) would love to change to t420s but worried about noisy and heat

perhaps i should just upgrade memory to 8GB and buy a intel 320 SSD when its out and forget about upgrate for another year or so...
