Yellow USB iPhone charging

Sure, it charges when the machine is asleep, but what do I have to do to get it to charge when I'm using the notebook...? This seems crazy...

It doesn't. It charges when it's off, hibernating, or asleep - but as soon as I log on it shuts down the charging. Really annoying.

There should be a setting for 'always on USB', I'm guessing in BIOS or in Power Manager.

Does anything else charge? My iPod will only charge if I turn on the computer, log in, plug it in, and then put it in standby. Of course a T400 doesn't have full always-on-USB support, (just on AC) but that's the only device I have to do that with. Anything else like my phone I can just plug it in and it starts charging.

It's in the power manager and it was checked...
