Greetings,

can i simply upgrade the The 1280 LED Panel in my T400 with T410 LED 1440* Panel? Do i also need to change the cable and inverter, too?

Thanks in advance for any advice, post, answer.

The answer is no. You can use a T400 1440 panel, but not one from a T410. The T400 screen with an LED backlight has the LCD connector at the bottom, but the T410 has it at the top. The cable is entirely different - 2 MB connectors on T410 vs. 1 larger one on T400. (BTW there is no inverter on any LED backlight screen - just an interface board with lights.) CCFL screens use an inverter to make the ac current used by the bulb. The LED backlight uses DC like everything else. If you want to use a T400 screen, you just need to swap the panel, as long as you replace a CCFL screen with a CCFL screen or an LED screen for an LED screen.
