I have a T510 with the Intel Advanced-N 6250AGN adapter. It connects to my Cisco AP WAP4410. The problem is it always connects at 54Mbps. Can anyone suggest some solutions to get this to connect at least at 130Mbps?
Thanks,

Monte

Make sure the wireless mode in the AP config is set to 'N' only or 'BGN Mixed'.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried both settings and each seem to do nothing.

Do any other devices connect at faster than 54Mbps?

I shouldn't say it does nothing; setting the AP for N-only locks the laptop out. I have another T510 that has a different adapter, and it connects at 130Mps

Try a different wireless driver, and try using Windows Wireless Services and not Access Connections (uninstall it.) Swap cards between laptops ...

Use AES rather than TKIP in the wireless settings and with 802.11n you will get greater than 54kpbs.

This is what fixed my problem. It was in the Cisco AP WAP4410. I had to enable WMM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_M ... Extensions

Yep, requirements for (most) routers to function above 54mbit
WMM, WPA2-AES(only, no TKIP), 20mhz width (40 if you want 300mbit)
WMM and open also works.
