upgrading wifi card in t400

I have minipci-e wifi card in my t400:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5350 AGN [Echo Peak] Network Connection

Now I'm trying to replace it with something newer like "Intel 633ANHMW Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 half WiFi".

It's half minipci-e, so I wonder if it will work in my t400? If not, are there any alternatives?

If it's a half height mPCI-e you'll need a bracket.

It will work but is probably whitelisted in BIOS, so you'll need a hacked BIOS to enable the card.

You're better off getting the proper card. One time I tried to pop in the Intel 5300 full size card from my T400 into my T400s and it'll boot with the drivers installed but I couldn't get it to function (the device won't start). As soon as I pop the Intel 5300 half size card into the T400s everything works right away.

The thing is that there is no "proper" 6xxx card for t400. Only older.
