t400 identify max resolution
t400 identify max resolution
Hey guys,
I have t400 2764 CTO with the upgraded monitor ( I Think) Is there anyway to check and see what is the max resolution of the monitor? I ran into a weird situation, When I installed Linux, if I disabled the wifi, WWAN, and Bluetooth, then installed Windows 7 original TP OS, none of the devices would show. As is if they were not responding. Belarc or speccy couldn't even see it. When I went to linux and re-enabled it, windows found new hardware and installed and worked great. I knew linux video driver only supported 1280x800, but I think I might of had 1440x900 in the beginning. Is there anyway to check this?

Re: t400 identify max resolution
The system type number might be displayed in the BIOS, check there. Sometimes CTO machines will have a type number that can be used in the "quick path" look-up.
Or do a serial number parts look-up.
Or do a serial number parts look-up.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E
Re: t400 identify max resolution
I tried looking for a serial number parts lookup but can't find a site that does that. The quick path only directs me to the page with a pdf file that shows the monitor came with two flavours wxga and wxga+Neil wrote:The system type number might be displayed in the BIOS, check there.
