Bluetooth upgrade in a T420

Hi all
I have a T420 that came without bluetooth and I was wondering if anyone has ever done a BT upgrade.
1. Can I use the BDC 2.1 (42T0969) which is the one that comes with the T410/x201 etc (I am happy with BT2.1 as opposed to v3.0)? Anything about physical fit and BIOS white list?
2. Do I need special LCD cabling as my T420 has the 1600x900 screen?
