Buying advice: T520, dock and ESATA

I'm hoping someone here can give me a concrete answer before I purchase a T520. I understand that the T520 doesn't come with an ESATA port unless you add the discrete graphics board, which I don't have any interest in doing. But from my previous T510 I still have my mini dock ("TYPE 4338") which has an ESATA port. So I need to know -- from someone who can confirm for sure -- if the ESATA-equipped mini dock will provide ESATA connectivity on the T520 without discrete graphics? It would be a neat work around if it did. Thanks in advance for confirmation one way or another.
