Replacing system board for T510

I managed to get a free new system board to replace my damaged one. Now I was thinking of replacing it by myself but while reading Lenovo maintenance manual I noticed that I have to use Lenovo Thinkpad Hardware diskette 1.76 which I don't have and also even If have it , my system is dead so how can I get the serial numbers via this diskette from the old damaged board?

The tool is only available to dealers. A dealer might do it for a fee. The machine model/serial should be on the sticker on the bottom.
