Hey people, hope someone can help me with this, i´ve been trying to sort it out with all sorts of solutions i´ve found googling this problem for the last 2 days with no success. To irritate me even more i´m using my girlfriends 250 dollar made in brazil microboard which is functioning perfectly on the same wireless connection I am trying to use on my thinkpad.
I am able to connect to my dlink dir-600 wireless router no problem however after opening a few websites the 'Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): The server could not be found´ strikes everytime. Using the diagnostic tools in access connections i am able to connect again by releasing the IP and then Renewing the IP only for the same thing to happen just 10-15 seconds later.
System model 4313cto
bios version 6met81ww 1.41)
Op windows 7
Access con. 5.84
adapter used 11b/g/n wireless lan mini pci express adapter
driver 2018.1.1105.2010/n/a
Thanks in advance
Simon in Brazil

Hi
Does this occur on all pages or just a few? What pages if just a few?
Can you press the windows+R key and type CBS
Then type ping 8.8.8.8 do you get a response?
I would also advise going to download.com and downloading spybot search and destroy, it will look for malware and remove it.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
It happens with all webpages using both chrome and internet explorer as far as i can tell, i generally use google, yahoo, hotmail and facebook when i´m checking if i have managed to solve the problem.
For some reason the connection does seem to remain stable for longer if i download something from the internt, like spybot for example took a minute or so without losing connection.
I am able to ping and it comes back with 75% loss.
- reply from 192.168.0.101: destination host unreachable x3
- request timed out. x1
I downloaded spybot search and destroy and removed 43 problems so thanks for that, but on restart i still have the same problem with error 105 after approx 15-20 seconds of browsing.
I also had a crack at putting in defauly google DNS addresses for ipv4 and ipv6 although my internet appears to only have ipv4.
ummmmmm

Something else i can't understand is that i started downloading a film torrent with Utorrent and it's nearly downloaded a whole film of 1.37gb at the speed of nearly 1 mega without any connection problems and the internet is still browsing ok too...

I think the problem lies with the connection, downloading would stablise thaat connection allowing you to browse.
can you do a traceroute using
http://network-tools.com/ use the IP address 87.117.137.200
paste the results back here.
Also have this seems to be a resolving issue try and use different DNS servers, use 156.154.70.22
and 156.154.71.22, these are Comonodo Secure DNS servers, (I use these as well)
You can can specify them on the PC and maybe the router as well

And to confirm if i open Utorrent i browse 100% trouble free up until now anyway.
For some reason my gf's notebook seemed to experience similar problems for the first time tonight. That was one of the most frustrating things that her notebook was sat next to mine working perfectly for the last week while mine was "error 105" every 3rd webpage.
Thanks for your help so far.
Just a further point to add to the mystery is that my notebook was working perfectly just a few weeks ago at a different address.
(edit: I mean physical address, i moved house hehehe)
