Centrino 6300 wont work properly after restore

i have a t420s with a centrino 6300 agn wireless card.

i restored my system from a backup (a mistake...) and now the wireless function doesnt work.

under device manager the card/driver seems to be installed properly. but the card wont connect to any networks. it does see them however, just wont connect.

any ideas?

I don't know if I can help, but some more information would be helpful:

1. What happens when you try to connect to a wireless network? Any error messages?

2. Have you tried connecting to an unencrypted network?

i got it working.

turned out on reinstall, the drivers had an option to connect to the access point even if the ssid wasnt broadcast; this defaulted to off, and it needed to be on.

working again! thanks for the ideas
