8 gig memory error

I purchased Corsair 2 x 4GB DDR3 1066MHz for a T500 with Windows 7 64bit. When I plug both sticks in, all I get is error beeps and the computer does not even go to BIOS. With one stick plugged in (either one), no problem, also with 2 x 2GB DDR3, no problem.
Any ideas why this is happening??

There appears to be a compatibility issue with Corsair RAM, while other brands seem to work.
