Two monitors

#1 Post by Shadowku » Fri Sep 30, 2011 8:08 pm

I'm wondering if it is possible to connect a T410 with the Nvidia graphics card to two external monitors (through the VGA and DP ports) while still using the laptop screen. The two monitors I will use are compatible.
I know that only AMD cards can support three monitors with one card so I'm not sure if my T410 can.

this is not possible with the T410, if you have the Optimus Nvidia model you can do this using series 3 mini dock. Only the T420/520/W520 can support 2 external LCD through laptop's own DP and VGA port + internal LCD.

If you need additional LCD support then get usb2dvi or eGPU if you are really up to it.
Current ThinkPad: T430u, T430s, X1 Carbon, X1, X230t, X220t, X230, X220, X201t, W520, W701ds, T500, T420 and many more

Thanks!

Just the information that I needed..
Kinda wish I waited a month and got the T420 now.. but I guess I need a dock now.

I guess they're useful to have afterall.
