Problem with Rescue and Recovery

I installed RR 4.31 on a new T420 with Win 7 Pro 64bit. Every time we try taking a backup, it quits after a few seconds with a pop up window stating the backup did not complete successfully.

There are no errors in the Windows event log either. Is there a log for RR somewhere else?

Although, your problem sounds different from mine.
I gave up on it and started using the Win7 built-in backup & image utility. I got an external eSATA drive & can now make weekly backup images. I've had to restore the T410 once, several months ago, from one of the images and it worked great.
