I have a Thinkpad L412 (4403-4LG).
When I work on it or when it doing windows update, the laptop stop. It seems that power turns off.
I have nothing on windows log.
Do you have an idea ?

More information would be helpful. Anytime a PC shuts off unexpectedly, overheating is a good choice. Is it running hot? You might want to test the memory and hard drive.

I've had my L412 (mine is a 4403-CTO) do this a couple of times and it was always due to heat build-up. I was installing Linux both times.
It's not unusual during installation of an operating system because, during the install, the "installer program" is minimal and doesn't include laptop detection, thermal monitoring, fan speed control, etc..

Early on in ownership of my L412 I had similar issues. Subsequent bios updates seem to have solved this. Have had no issues for the past 3 years.
