Trackpoint not working sl500

I had to replace the power jack and long story short i tore the wire for the touchpad and the finger print reader (has to do with me not really caring about them).
Anyway, my keyboard is working fine but for some reason the trackpoint isn't working, doesn't show up on device manager. can these issues be connected? any ideas? (already tried re-installing the drivers for the mouse).

If I were you, I would try re-seating the keyboard connector. Good luck
