L420 No Post, Battery Flashes 3 times

I have an L420 that won't post. When you attach the ac adapter the battery light illuminates three times and then nothing else. No fan spin, power of any kind. Thoughts? I've already tried holding the power button in with the battery and ac adapter removed.
