Thinkpad SL500 with 9-Cell battery, does it sit flush?

Hey everybody.

I'm new to this forum and I am really looking at ordering the IBM SL500 but if I do I want to get the 9-cell battery. After searching the internet, I found some of the older laptops where the 8/9 cell battery would stick out from the housing of the laptop and I am just wondering if that is how these new SL500's are also.

Anybody have one here that they can chime in on?
Since I know the 6-cell @ 2xxxmAh is fairly weak, this 9 cell is what really caught my eye.

Thanks
bart

I don't have an SL500 but I would be really surprised if the 9-cell battery didn't stick out an inch or so.

Dam, yea I did some reading last night and there have been some battery's that have fit in the case fully, but from what it seems like 95% of them stick out.
I'll have to pass then

I found a nice Ideapad y530 but I'm now skeptical of 6-cell battery's.
Time to keep searching

Thank you for the help.

It appears that the SL300 6 cell is flush..like it should be on all thinkpads.

Hopefully the next generation has flush 6 cells..4 cells are too small.

I think you guys are confused. The 6 cells fit just fine. It's only the 9's that stick out.
