Keyboard flex and wrist-rest sag

#1 Post by Varu » Sat Nov 07, 2009 11:24 pm

Hi all,

I'm considering getting an SL500 because they're on sale and I can get one that has a fast processor.

However I've seen videos that demonstrate that the case is pretty flimsy, i.e. the keyboard flexes, the wrist rest bends easily and the screen twists when moved from a corner.

I wonder, are these major worries for you SL500 owners? Also, I've read that keyboard flex can be corrected, but what about the wrist rest? Can it be reinforced?

Thanks.

If anything, the SL500 I played with briefly demonstrated less flex in the palmrest and keyboard than the much touted T400 units we have at my workplace...
